All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible in an impact and comply with the European standard: EN 1078. The goal of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. In an impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the helmet's EPS shell to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only a matter of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that could otherwise be transferred to the brain.

Great helmet. So far I am very satisfied with her ???.
- I tried several brands and different models. This one fit me best (size M, head circumference approx. 58.5 cm). And that in terms of internal size, setting and external shape.
- It is probably not one of the lightest in this category, but it is not particularly noticeable.
- Ventilation is also very good. I didn't feel extra sweating while driving, even on hot summer days.
- I consider the relatively universal design (mtb/road), which is also supported by an easily removable shield, to be a positive.
- Fastening under the chin could be handled a little differently. It's such a classic "click-click". Personally, I would appreciate a system where there are several tightening positions even under the chin (as used, for example, by UVEX). The protruding strap is only passed through a simple rubber band. A more sophisticated solution could also be found. But these are also matters of personal preference ?
- A small negative is that the helmet does not have an extra "hair port", i.e. an opening for a braid. There is an opening, but it is smaller and getting hair through it can be more difficult. However, this is a "problem" only for women or a narrow group of men. However, you can always fight a little or make a braid under the tightening system?
Personally, I am still curious about the durability of the inner linings during long-term use. However, I already know that replacements can be bought, which is definitely a plus.
I definitely recommend trying this helmet.??

Show translationAutomatically translated- Skúšal som viacero značiek a rôzne modely. Táto mi sadla najlepšie (veľk. M, obvod hlavy cca 58,5cm). A to vnútornou veľkosťou, nastavením i vonkajším tvarom.
- Nepatrí asi k najľahším v tejto kategórii, no nie je to zvlášť citeľné.
- Odvetrávanie je tiež veľmi dobré. Nepociťoval som pri jazde extra potenie a to ani počas horúcich letných dní.
- Za pozitívum považujem pomerne univerzálny dizajn (mtb/road), ktorý je podporený aj ľahko odnímateľným štítom.
- Zapínanie pod bradou by mohlo byť riešené trochu inak. Je to taká klasika "cvak-cvak". Osobne by som ocenil systém, kde je viacero polôh dotiahnutia i pod bradou (ako používa napr. UVEX). Vystávajúci popruh je prevlečený iba cez jednoduchú gumičku. Tiež by sa dalo nájsť asi sofistikovanejšie riešenie. Ale toto sú veci aj osobných preferencií 😉
- Malé negatívum je, že prilba nedisponuje extra "hair portom", čiže otvorom pre cop. Je tam síce otvor, ale menší a dostať vlasy cez neho môže byť náročnejšie. Toto je však "problém" iba u žien či úzkej skupiny mužov. Vždy sa však dá trochu zabojovať alebo spraviť cop až pod doťahovacím systémom😉
Osobne som ešte zvedavý na životnosť vnútorných výstelok pri dlhodobom používaní. Avšak už teraz viem, že sa dajú kúpiť náhradné, čo je rozhodne tiež plus.
Určite odporúčam vyskúšať túto prilbu.👍😉

Sedí perfektne spokojnosť.. štít nejak moc nedrží ale to neriešim jazdím bez neho.+ Dajú sa kúpiť náhradné výstelky - za zapínanie pod bradu mohli to poriešiť tak to má Uvex
