Chill Zone is your last resort if you need to loosen a seized seatpost from the frame, a rusted bolt, a seized thread, or to get a rusty chain moving again. The product freezes any metal down to -45 °C. This causes the metal to shrink and loosen the connection. Simply spray Chill Zone on the object for 10 to 20 seconds, wait 60 to 90 seconds, and loosen the part.
Chill Zone is probably the most advanced anti-corrosion penetrating product. Before you break a stick over a stiff crank bolt, a rusted derailleur spring, a seized seatpost in the frame, or a rusty chain, try Chill Zone! Parts on the bike that you would have to throw away can be renovated so you can ride again the next day.
A special cooling medium freezes metal down to -45°C. This causes the metal to shrink and creates micro-cracks in corrosion and electroplated metal parts. The penetrating separating agent then breaks down and flushes out rust. Thanks to Chill Zone, most seized parts will regain full functionality.
How to use: Simply spray the rusted part for 10 to 20 seconds and wait 2-3 minutes for the loosening agent to fully penetrate and break down the rust. For heavily rusted welded parts, spray longer (30-60 seconds) for maximum freezing effect, then wait ten minutes to an hour for the rust to thoroughly decompose. When renovating a bicycle chain, always immerse one small part at a time.
