The top all-round model in the FFWD range uses the LAW TECH rim technology in its second generation, where LAW stands for "Laminar Airflow Wing". This proprietary FFWD design optimizes aerodynamics and stiffness, especially when used with wider tires. The wheels are designed for universal use on the road and gravel and are optimized for perfect power transfer and airflow. Compared to the first generation of the RYOT model, the new wheels feature rims manufactured with the same technology as the higher-end RAW model, resulting in significant weight savings while maintaining uncompromising wheel durability. The external brass nipples used facilitate serviceability and increase wheel durability. The lacing consists of a combination of Sapim CX Ray and CX Sprint spokes in a 2:1 ratio, contributing to better stress distribution in the spokes and balanced stiffness on both sides. The package is completed by the legendary DT Swiss 240 hubs in the EXP Straightpull version. This represents a unique ratio between excellent performance and price among modern wide all-round wheelsets.
