Fenix 21700 High-Current Battery, 4000 mAh, (Li-Ion)
Premium high-drain rechargeable batteries Fenix 21700 4000 mAh (ARB-L21-4000P) with protection electronics (protected) are designed for a discharge current of up to 18 A. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterized by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge. Li-ion in size 21700 are the best choice in terms of stored energy relative to the dimensions and weight of the accumulator, and are gradually being adopted in the automotive industry, for example.
Fenix accumulator protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protection electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent overcharging of the cell, its excessive discharge, as well as short circuits or excessive current draw. If the battery electronics detect that the limit values have been reached, it safely disconnects the cell.
Internal protection consists of a separator, advanced overheating protection (PTC - Positive Temperature Coefficient), and a special anti-explosion valve. In case the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator disconnects the electrodes inside the battery, thereby effectively interrupting the exothermic reaction, and the anti-explosion valve releases the overpressure of gas outside the accumulator. Thanks to the combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection, Fenix batteries are among the safest Li-ion accumulators available.
This accumulator is especially intended for use in the Fenix LR35R LED flashlight. However, it can also be used in Fenix HT18, PD36R, PD36 TAC, PD40R, TK22 V2.0, TK22 UE, E35 V3.0 and C7 flashlights. However, it cannot be used in flashlights for 18650 accumulators due to its larger dimensions!
Given the length of the accumulator of 76 millimeters (including protection electronics), it can only be charged in chargers that are designed for this length. See recommended chargers below.
