Studies conducted on riders of various focuses and physical fitness levels show that a higher degree of comfort (increased padding) can have a very positive impact in two cases. The first is shorter training sessions for less fit cyclists who are not used to the saddle (approx. up to two hours), and the second is ultra-marathon cycling with performances lasting 6-8 hours or more. For standard cycling performance of a fit individual (3-5 hours in the saddle), a high-quality pad in the shorts combined with a more racing-oriented saddle padding proves to be more advantageous.|
