French company Nova Ride was founded in 2016 in Clermont-Ferrand, specializing in the design of high-end bicycle components. Nova Ride is more than just a brand, it is above all a community of cyclists who have designed their own components to offer them at more competitive prices for passionate riders and cycling enthusiasts.The Nova Ride Aero cage construction improves aerodynamics by focusing on the impact of the front surface, as well as smoothing and controlling the rear wind thanks to a unique aircraft wing construction (enclosed at the front of the cage and at the rear).

Continuous development and dialogue with professional athletes lasting more than two years, during which extensive software testing, wind tunnel testing and road testing took place, influenced several forms of construction.

The final result is a completely new all-carbon cage construction surrounding our existing mechanically optimized construction.

Thanks to the fairing of the upper 14-tooth and lower 17-tooth pulleys, the movement of the chain is optimized as it passes through the pulleys, minimizing bending and friction, thus saving an additional 1.3 watts compared to their classic Nova Ride cage.Both color-anodized pulleys are made of solid AL7075 duralumin alloy and equipped with full ceramic bearings with minimal rolling resistance, which do not require any special maintenance or lubrication! Full ceramic bearings feature high-precision ceramic balls as well as ceramic races made of silicon nitride. The main advantages of full ceramic bearings compared to standard bearings are their longer lifespan, lower weight, greater strength, lower rolling resistance, and excellent anti-corrosion properties. Their weight is about 60% lower, while they are 7 times stronger than steel balls.
