FOX 38 Float Glidecore (2027+) air piston, 160 mm
The FOX 38 Float Glidecore Air Shaft 160 mm is the original air shaft for the new generation FOX 38 forks with Glidecore technology (model year 2027+). It is used for a complete change or restoration of the travel to 160 mm and offers significantly smoother operation, higher sensitivity to small bumps, and more stable mid-stroke support for aggressive riding.
The redesigned seal system and optimized air transfer between the positive and negative chambers reduce both static and dynamic friction, maintain ideal bike geometry, and improve front wheel traction. The entire assembly is precisely machined from a lightweight aluminum alloy with high stiffness and extreme surface precision. This component is designed exclusively for the new FOX 38 chassis with Glidecore and is not backward compatible with older Float EVOL air chambers.
Assembly requires advanced mechanical skills, special fork service tools, and appropriate assembly jaws to prevent damage to the piston rod and the inner walls of the stanchions. During installation, it is essential to thoroughly clean the inside of the left fork leg and use only the manufacturer's recommended original lubricant in the precisely specified volume.
