FOX has improved the 32 Step-Cast fork to meet the current needs of XC racers. The redesigned crown with minimal weight increase increases stiffness to the same level as the FOX 34 trail fork.Technologies:
STEP-CAST (SC) - The distinctive shape of the lower legs is not just for looks, but uses a narrow shape to reduce weight, and the construction creates extra space for spokes and brake rotors. The FOX 32 SC features 32mm stanchions with ample bushing overlap for a quality ride, and hollow lower legs provide even more weight savings.
FIT4 - The fourth generation of the patented FIT sealed cartridge allows for three-position compression adjustment (Open, Medium, Firm) on the crown for the best possible damping adaptation to riding conditions (with remote control, it offers only two positions: Open-Firm). The top-of-the-line Factory Series forks also feature fine-tuning of the open position (within 22 clicks), so every rider can adjust the compression to their own preferences.
FLOAT (FOX Load Optimum Air Technology) - Air suspension for all FOX FLOAT forks from 100 to 200mm travel are enhanced with a specific air piston with a more linear force/compression curve, as close as possible to the curve of a steel spring. Since 2018, the 32, 34, 36, and 40 series forks have been equipped with the new FLOAT system with reduced weight and lower breakaway force. They provide excellent sensitivity to small bumps for all riders and pressure settings.
AIR VOLUME SPACERS - Compression progressivity can be further adjusted using spacers in the positive air chamber, allowing every rider to fine-tune the suspension to their own requirements and riding preferences.
EVOL (EXTRA VOLUME) - The increased negative air chamber significantly improves fork response. This increases comfort, as the breakaway force can be reduced. The more linear spring characteristic also offers better performance, especially in the mid-stroke.
KASHIMA COAT - A revolutionary surface treatment technology for the inner legs by adding molybdenum disulfide to micropores electrically is used exclusively on FOX Factory Series forks and shocks. The brown-gold finish of the legs reduces mechanical friction by up to 40% compared to standard hard anodizing. It gives the fork a buttery smooth ride and is much more resistant to mechanical damage.
KABOLT - A 15mm thru-axle without a lever, requiring an Allen key, increases overall fork stiffness by up to 25% and torsional stiffness by 15% with significantly lower weight compared to a FOX QR15 quick-release axle.
