The CeramicSpeed UFO Speed Chain Campagnolo SR 13S is a top-optimized road chain with a wax treatment that reduces friction, saves watts, and delivers a noticeably higher speed at the same power output. The special Speed WAX is the result of years of development and testing in the lab and in the field, and is completely biodegradable and non-toxic. The chain is pre-prepared at the CeramicSpeed Danish factory – thoroughly cleaned, run-in, and then treated with immersion waxing to provide maximum efficiency on modern 13-speed Campagnolo groupsets.
The optimized UFO treatment can save approximately 2-5 W over a distance of about 650 km compared to standard factory lubrication. After approximately 650 km, it is recommended to use CeramicSpeed UFO DRIP All Conditions or Wet Conditions lubricant to maintain peak efficiency throughout the chain's lifespan. The UFO Speed Chain treatment is not designed for prolonged wet and muddy conditions, so in such cases, the chain must be re-lubricated as soon as possible to prevent corrosion.
