With the OSPW RS for Shimano 105 series 7150 groupsets, we are moving OSPW into the future with a distinctly modern and angular design. The updated design brings balance and refinement to the OSPW system, allowing it to seamlessly fit into current bicycle design trends and groupsets, of which the OSPW system is a part. With an added level of customization (multiple logo and pulley wheel options) combined with new innovative technical features, the OSPW RS meets consumer demands for personal expression and a premium riding experience. The OSPW RS is a statement of where we have been and where we are going – always at the forefront. TIME TO SHIFT Active Debris Remover (ADR) ADR is a patented technical feature based on a unique combination that makes it virtually impossible for debris to penetrate the bearing. It consists of a new dust cover design that is securely anchored in the pulley wheel's cage, thereby completely enclosing the bearing. This is paired with a bladed cage structure that surrounds the dust cover, dynamically removing debris from the pulley wheel as it rotates. ADR was developed in a constant pendulum between our R&D department, the CeramicSpeed test lab, and field testing conducted by a select group of our professional off-road teams. ALPHA Disc For our new OSPW RS, we offer versions equipped with the extremely durable ALPHA disc rotor, first introduced with our OSPW X for Eagle drivetrain. The ALPHA Disc has a two-piece construction. A separate narrow-profile tooth made of composite material that offers long-term wear protection and noise reduction. As well as a solid aluminum disc that eliminates the potential for foreign objects to get stuck between the pulley wheel spokes, while adding strength and stiffness to the pulley wheel design. Early versions of our solid disc wheel design were field-tested during cyclocross world cups a few years ago. During the 2022 cyclocross season, our sponsored Tormans team made extensive use of the solid disc design, providing valuable feedback on its ability to ensure mud shedding in the worst conditions. New Design: Better Quality and Strength The new OSPW RS design is not just a visual update. The cage itself has been reinforced to offer a new level of strength and durability.
