A jacket that is extremely warm yet extra packable, ideal for exploratory or multi-day rides. The outer woven microfiber windproof material combined with Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation. When the challenge is distance rather than speed, this jacket provides warmth and comfort with style that looks good on the bike and at a refreshment stop.Lately, we've been doing more and more long adventure rides. Sometimes this means a route with significant elevation gain, or riding alternating between the cold of the night and the heat of the day, or spending multiple days on the bike. This jacket shines in these situations because it provides enough insulation and warmth when you need it, but when you don't need it, it fits even in a saddlebag.
The outer layer is made of a fabric you might have seen on some high-end down jackets from renowned brands. It is very light, yet keeps the wind out. On the inside is Polartec® Alpha® Direct, the lightest, most packable, and best moisture-wicking insulation on the market. It's as warm as synthetic down, but doesn't require an inner lining that would reduce breathability and increase weight.
