There's no reason to accept average base shorts just because you want to wear shorts. We made these base shorts for maximum comfort under your MTB shorts.
First and foremost, these shorts feature the top-of-the-line seamless Progetto X² Air Donna chamois, which has two separate parts: a soft, stretchy layer that cares for the skin, and a separate cushioning part with dual-density foam and gel layers for progressive cushioning. Even the best chamois is useless if it moves, so we made the area around the hips from our Force compression fabric, which keeps the chamois in place while providing good ventilation.
The lower part of the shorts is light and airy, made from perforated fabric to keep you cool. Our Giro Air mesh leg grippers keep them in place. The beauty of this construction is that you can adjust their length to your preference – they are long enough so that, for example, the edges of the shorts don't rub against your leg. The straps have a unique Castelli Drop-tail design; they are so elastic that you can pull them up for a bathroom break without needing to take them off, and at the same time, they are firm enough to keep the shorts in place while riding. The straps are not sewn together, so you can cross them in the back or front as you prefer.
