It was May 7, 1994, when riders gathered in Tábor at the start of the 49th edition of the famous Peace Race, to cover a distance of 1354 km in nine stages between Tábor and Turnov. For this 30th anniversary of the Tábor start, we have created a limited edition jersey in a retro design made from functional merino material. The white dove patch, short zipper, wool knit – these are features that at least partially revive the legacy of the largest amateur cycling race in Eastern Europe, in its time nicknamed the Tour de France of the East. - For its production, we used a short, robust zipper, which gives the jersey a stylish retro touch.
- The jersey is made in a snug fit in our standard sizes corresponding to the Elite and Motion collections.
- The reference to the Peace Race is most reminiscent of the imitation of the white dove patch, which was a symbol of this race for decades.
- This fine merino wool is an extremely versatile material that offers a wide range of functional properties. Thanks to its thermoregulatory ability, it creates an ideal microclimate on the body, allowing it to retain heat in winter and coolness in summer. At the same time, it can effectively wick away sweat while maintaining dryness and thermoregulatory function. Wool is also antibacterial, protects against UV radiation, and is naturally elastic due to the structure of its fibers, which can stretch up to 30% and return to their original shape. It retains its properties even after repeated wear, making it an ideal material for comfortable clothing.
