The Yakima S43 wing-shaped crossbars are designed for maximum aerodynamics, producing virtually no noise while driving and minimally affecting fuel consumption. The mounting between the longitudinal rails barely increases the overall height of the vehicle, which you will especially appreciate when entering low garages or parking structures. The elegant, unobtrusive design allows the bars to be left on the car year-round without disrupting the vehicle's appearance.
The integrated T-slot for accessory mounting is covered along its entire length, eliminating unpleasant whistling noises while driving and simultaneously facilitating quick installation of compatible racks or boxes. The bars are lockable, and their installation and removal are simple – the required Allen key is conveniently stored directly in the bar's foot, so you always have it at hand. For most vehicles, no additional mounting kit is required.
