The Yakima S55 wing-shaped crossbars minimize aerodynamic drag, ensuring complete silence at any vehicle speed and virtually no impact on fuel consumption. This model is placed between the longitudinal roof rails, thus hardly increasing the vehicle's height. You can use the Yakima S55 crossbars all year round because they do not disrupt the vehicle's appearance and are so quiet that you won't notice them while driving. The T-track for mounting accessories is covered from the inside and remains covered along its entire length, preventing unpleasant whistling. Installation and removal are very simple, with the only tool needed being an Allen key, which is hidden in the foot of the crossbar. The Yakima S55 crossbars do not require a fitting kit, with the exception of Mercedes GL X164 and VW Touran models.
