In addition, the forks of the Factory Series top have the ability to fine-tune the open position (within 22 clicks) so that each rider can adjust the compression to their own preferences. FLOAT (FOX Load Optimum Air Technology) - air suspension for all FOX FLOAT forks from a stroke of 100 to 200 mm is improved by a specific air piston with a more linear resistance / compression force curve as similar as possible to the steel spring curve. Since 2018, the 32, 34, 36 and 40 forks have been equipped with the new FLOAT system with weight reduction and reduced force required to pull the fork out of the rest position. They provide excellent sensitivity to reactions to small unevenness for all riders and pressure settings. AIR VOLUME SPACERS - The progressiveness of the compression can be additionally adjusted by means of spacers in the positive air chamber, with which each rider can adjust the suspension according to their own requirements and driving preferences. EVOL (EXTRA VOLUME) This increases comfort as the tear-off torque can be reduced. In addition, the more linear spring characteristics offer better performance, especially in the middle of the stroke. The brown-gold surface of the feet reduces mechanical friction by up to 40% compared to conventional hard anodizing. It gives the fork a buttery smooth run and is much more resistant to mechanical damage.
