The intelligent d3o material is soft and comfortable during normal movement, but upon impact, its molecules "lock" and harden. In addition, d3o has a much higher ability to absorb impact energy than commonly used PU material, even at half the thickness.
The X-fit ergonomic construction is specially designed to make it easier for the rider to move in the protectors. As a result, the protectors are extremely comfortable and pleasant to ride while providing maximum protection.
