In its race debut at IronMan Kona 2019, Cam Wurf posted the fastest time ever on the bike. It uses everything we know to make your next long-distance start the fastest.
In 2016, we started aerodynamics research at the Norwegian University of Technology in Trondheim. In addition to having some excellent professors and PhD students coming up with ideas and doing basic research, they have several wind tunnels, rapid prototyping capabilities, CFD analysis, and a real desire to make things faster. The first major research success was a time trial suit for Team Sky. With her help, four riders placed in the top eight at the opening time trial of the Tour de France. Then the UCI declared it illegal.
So this outfit is not UCI legal (so you can't compete in UCI races in it). It's faster than all the pro cyclist suits and is illegal because of the silicone ribs on the shoulders and arms. The basic fabric on the body is incredibly light at 50 denier - in the world of sports textiles, 40 denier is already considered an ultra-light fabric. The pants and sleeves are longer for increased aerodynamics, while the lightweight fabrics are great for managing heat as they are thin enough not to soak up moisture unnecessarily, while the 8% Lycra® content keeps some moisture close to the skin for quick cooling. The insane elasticity of the material allows us to make something that really feels like a second skin on a bike, but doesn't restrict you in any way when swimming or running.
Our KISS Tri insole offers enough cushioning for cycling, but isn't unnecessarily large to bother you when running.
It offers you real time savings while cycling while providing cooling and comfort while running. However, it was made with the assumption that it will be worn under a swimsuit or wetsuit for swimming. It is optimized for high speeds - elite or professional athletes or anyone who wants to set a new PR on the bike.
