BICYCLE GAME TECHNOLOGY
We looked into the world of racing ski mountaineering, where manufacturers are looking for ways to create light clothing, even more obsessed than cyclists, and insulation is a matter of survival, so it's not just about comfort. Ski mountaineering is an extremely aerobic sport, so breathability is paramount. The construction of this jacket is similar to a winter jacket in the mountains, where insulation is used between two woven layers, the outer and inner. However, unlike classic ski jackets, this one is not completely wind resistant. We allowed a small amount of air to get inside, helping the sweat to evaporate better, which is more effective than using any membrane. The middle layer is made of cotton insulation, which we made of polypropylene, partly because it is extremely light (specific weight 0.6 g), but also because it does not absorb moisture, either from sweat or rain. The limited elasticity of these materials required the use of a new cut, so this jacket is not as tight as most of our racing jackets. If your goal is only segments for Diet, then you'd better take our jacket Alpha or Perfetto, but if your goal is a real and not a virtual victory, then this jacket will make your winter ride better.
