Rechargeable battery Fenix 21700 5000 mAh (ARB-L21-5000U) with its own USB-C charging connector. It can be charged by connecting a cable to the USB-C connector (e.g., from a computer, power bank, or mobile phone charger) or also in a classic Li-ion charger. Fenix battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protection electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent overcharging of the cell, its excessive discharge, as well as short circuits or excessive current draw. If the battery electronics detect that the limit values have been reached, it safely disconnects the cell. Internal protection consists of a separator, state-of-the-art overheat protection (PTC - Positive Temperature Coefficient), and a special anti-explosion valve. In case the gas pressure inside the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator disconnects the electrodes inside the battery, thereby effectively interrupting the exothermic reaction, and the anti-explosion valve releases the overpressure of gas outside the battery. Thanks to the combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection, Fenix batteries are among the safest available Li-ion batteries. This battery is intended, for example, for use in Fenix HT18, PD36R, PD36 TAC, PD40R, TK22 V2.0, TK22 UE, E35 V3.0 and C7 LED flashlights. However, it cannot be used in flashlights for 18650 batteries due to its larger dimensions! Due to the battery length of 76 millimeters (including protection electronics), it can only be charged in chargers that are designed for this length. After reaching full charge, it glows blue. The charging cable is not included in the package.
