The shock absorber of the CRX/URB 70 S suspension seatpost will completely reduce all minor vibrations and smaller bumps. It also helps to dampen sharp impacts on larger bumps or obstacles. It thus provides a comfortable ride on otherwise inhospitable terrain. The forged head and hardened aluminum provide sufficient strength that will withstand even the toughest conditions. Designed primarily for Cross and Trekking/Touring style riding, but also perfectly suited for urban environments for riders weighing up to 65kg. The spring stiffness can be adjusted using the Allen screw at the bottom of the seatpost. Tightening the screw makes the spring stiffer, thus more suitable for heavier riders, and conversely, loosening it adjusts the spring for lighter riders. • Aluminum 6061 is commonly used in the structural components of yachts, car chassis, or even scuba diving pressure tanks. This aluminum alloy is designed to withstand high pressures. • Forged – a block of heated aluminum is forged and pressed into the desired shape. The result is a stronger material that can withstand higher loads. • T6 – material processing through a process of aging under specific conditions to achieve significantly higher hardness.
