Wolf Tooth bearings utilize a specific design where both the balls and races are made from hardened chrome bearing steel. This has higher surface hardness than stainless steel, increasing race life and reducing both rolling resistance and noise. Additionally, the bearing races are coated with ACOSUR ZNA, providing corrosion resistance equal to or better than stainless steel, as verified by a 500-hour salt spray test.
