The consequence of premature bearing wear is usually due to the setting of the bearing clearance on side loading. The GXP system uses the left bearing between the spindle and crank arm is clamped. Freely on the bearing axis, however, remains the right bearing. A long life and a smooth ride guarantee the two special precision cartridge bearings and eight seals.
