When choosing a threaded bottom bracket from the bazaar, we recommend checking:

• Thread type and shell width: The most common English BSA thread (1.37" x 24 TPI thread) for 68 mm or 73 mm widths, Italian ITA thread (70 mm), or the modern oversize T47 thread.
• Crank compatibility: Choose cups according to the axle diameter – 24 mm (Shimano HT II), 28.99 mm (SRAM DUB), or 30 mm Race Face and Rotor crank axles.
• Quality of external sealing: Sophisticated labyrinth seals and a plastic central sleeve protect the internal bearings from water and dirt from the frame.
• Condition of mounting grooves: Check that the external grooves for the mounting wrench on the cups are not damaged by improper tightening.
