The Mavic Cosmic SL 40 is a versatile carbon road bike with medium height rims with rim brake use.
Perfect on climbs, stable on descents and can handle any light terrain. The Cosmic SL 40 rim is designed with a NACA profile that is 40mm tall and 19mm wide inside, specifically for all-around performance on flat or hilly terrain.
The new shape of the rim enables easy mounting of tubeless and inner tubes. Riding UST Tubeless means good rolling and more air volume means a smoother ride. The result is a faster ride with super low rolling resistance. Combined with an all-new Infinity hub platform that makes the wheels fast and responsive in every corner, they're stiffer and more efficient.
The Cosmic SL 40 wheels can be attached to the frame using classic quick-release clamps, which are part of the package.
