The Zipp 303 Firecrest braided road bikes are new for the 2021 season.
The basis is a 40 mm high carbon rim with an inner width of 25 mm and an outer width of 30 mm with a new Zipp graphic, directly created for modern road bikes. They have a hookless profile and are fully adapted for tubeless tires. Compared to the previous version , the weight was reduced by a full 300 g.
The extra-wide rim with an inner width of 25 mm gives the wheels stability, allowing wider and more voluminous tires to be worn in the terrain. The new ZR1 DB hubs were developed in Germany, with reduced weight, improved bearings and seals. Zipp 303 Firecrest wheels are supplied for 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear axles, with Center Lock disc flanges including nuts and XDR nut for Sram cassettes.
