PELTONEN CROSS-COUNTRY SKIS
As early as 1945, Peltonen started producing cross-country skis in Finland, thanks to the talented skier and craftsman Toivo Peltonen. Peltonen's history in cross-country skiing is as long as the history of producing these skis – Toivo Peltonen used his own skis for racing, with which he won regional races. The first Olympic medals on Peltonen skis were won in 1972 in Sapporo by Yuri Skobov and Vladimir Voronko (USSR). Over the following decades of ski production, many revolutionary changes took place in the development of skis and skiing technique, and of course in production technologies. What has driven us forward throughout this time is the passion for cross-country skiing and innovation.
