Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 rechargeable headlamp, 800 lm, white
Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 rechargeable headlamp
The compact rechargeable Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 headlamp features a practical design with two reflectors with a luminous flux of up to 800 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 125 meters. Reflectors create well-focused light beams that shine both far and near at the same time. The main reflector shines with a cool white light of approx. 6500K (so-called daylight white) and the secondary one shines with warm white light with a shade of approx. 3000K (the spotlights cannot be turned on at the same time). Warm light penetrates fog, rain and snow better, so you can especially use it in bad weather conditions.
The main spotlight offers four lighting modes and a maximum luminous flux of up to 800 lumens, the second spotlight offers a maximum output of 500 lumens and also has four lighting modes available. The headlamp also has a red light, a red SOS flash and a whistle for crisis situations integrated on the strap. Power is provided by a replaceable Li-ion battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which is charged via a USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The battery can be removed and replaced with three AAA batteries in an emergency (they cannot be recharged in the headlamp).
Like other Fenix trail headlamps, the HL18R-T V2.0 is equipped with a Sport Fit System strap with a wheel for easy length adjustment. This allows you to quickly and comfortably tighten the headlamp on your head with one hand. The strap is also perforated and equipped with reflective elements that ensure good passive visibility. Thanks to its lighter weight and design, the headlamp is especially suitable for trail running, cycling, and skiing. It can also be used for other sporting activities (hiking, climbing, camping, fishing...). Guaranteed to shine brightly in any situation!
Turning on/off and switching modes - the right high beam headlight with daytime white light is turned on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s), the left headlight with warm white light is turned on by holding down the left button (0.5s). The spotlights cannot be turned on at the same time, but you can easily switch between them by pressing the button of the opposite spotlight. A turned off headlamp can be turned on to red light by pressing any button twice quickly. The light modes are switched by briefly pressing the spotlight button. The light is turned off again by holding down the corresponding button for 0.5 s.
Locking and unlocking - Locking: Slide the lock switch down in line with the mark, the headlamp will flash 4 times in low warm white light mode to indicate locking. If the headlamp was on, it will automatically turn off when locked. Unlock: Slide the lock switch up according to the mark, the lamp will flash 4 times in low warm white light mode to indicate unlocking.
Memory for the last set power mode - the headlamp has a memory and turns on in the last used power mode of the respective reflector.
Replacing batteries - open the rear battery cover and insert the battery(ies) in accordance with the polarity markings. Replace the back cover.
Charging - lift off the dust cover and plug the USB-C charging cable into the headlamp's charging port. Put the dust cap back on after charging is complete. The typical charging time is 3 hours with a 5 V/1 A USB source when the headlamp is completely discharged. While charging, the headlamp can only be used in low mode of any reflector. During the charging process, four indicators light up and flash sequentially. Four solid lights indicate charging is complete.
Battery charge status indication - After briefly pressing any button (the headlamp must be turned off), the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is 80-100% charged, three lit 60-80%, two lit 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing means the battery is less than 20% charged. The indication only works with the original battery.
Intelligent overheating protection - when using the headlamp at high power modes for a long time, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55°C or higher, it automatically reduces output by a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55 °C, the power gradually decreases again.
Low Battery Warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power is reached, the battery charge indicator will start flashing to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in time. It only works with the original battery.
Head Strap - The strap is assembled from the factory. To tighten the strap, turn the wheel counterclockwise. Turn the wheel clockwise to loosen the strap. By turning the wheel again after the maximum loosening of the strap, the strap starts to tighten again and the direction of loosening and tightening is reversed.
