Petzl VOLT WIND full body harness

The Petzl VOLT WIND is a full-body harness for fall arrest and work positioning, developed specifically for wind turbine technicians. Five attachment points allow for secure anchoring and comfortable positioning when working at height. The front LADDER CLIMB attachment point is designed for ascending a vertical safety line with a rail or steel cable, and automatically shifts to a chest position in case of a fall to keep the body in a vertical position.

The harness is very quick to put on while standing thanks to the FAST quick-connect buckles on the waist, chest, and leg straps, which can be easily operated even with gloves. Fine-tuning is ensured by DOUBLEBACK self-locking buckles with anti-slip segments, which maintain the adjustment throughout the entire workday. Wide shoulder straps reduce neck chafing, and all contact areas are padded with shaped foam with a breathable surface for increased comfort during prolonged wear.

The semi-rigid waist and leg straps provide firm support for positioning, and the sliding padding on the leg straps and adjustable strap between the back piece and waist allow for precise adjustment of the harness to the body. Elastic straps on the leg loops maintain correct adjustment while walking or suspended and are replaceable as spare parts. Protective plates on the back of the shoulder straps and waist protect the straps from abrasion and increase comfort when moving inside the turbine nacelle.

Practical details such as foldable side attachment points, holders for stowing MGO connectors, and a combination of gear loops with slots for CARITOOL holders and a TOOLBAG pouch facilitate the organization of work equipment. The textile components of the harness contain a significant proportion of recycled materials, reducing its environmental footprint.
