Petzl I'D S descender, black

The self-braking descender ID S is primarily designed for work at height and rope access work. It has an ergonomic handle that allows for comfortable descent control. The integrated anti-panic function and the anti-misfoooting catch limit the risk of user error accidents. The AUTO-LOCK system allows the worker to adopt a working position at the workstation without having to manipulate the handle or tie a safety knot. Once locked, the rope can be lifted upwards without manipulating the handle. A safety gate allows the rope to be installed even when the device is attached to the harness. The ID S is compatible with ropes with a diameter of 10 to 11.5 mm and allows handling loads up to 250 kg.

Versatility:

• Once locked, the rope can be lifted upwards without manipulating the handle, e.g. for creating a pulley system for hauling, or short rope ascents
• With the rope, it can be used as a belay device, allowing for feeding and taking up rope for belaying during climbing ascents
• The moving side plate can be locked with a screw, allowing the ID S to be integrated into evacuation kits
• An additional brake, open or closed, can be installed on the device to increase friction and improve descent control depending on the weight and diameter of the rope
• The stainless steel friction segment increases the durability of the rope friction zone
• Possibility of descending with heavy loads up to 250 kg
