High-performance waterproofing agent Cotton Proof from Nikwax for cotton, cotton blends, canvas and tarpaulin. Helps to increase water resistance and restores breathability of materials. Prevents weight gain. Application is possible in the washing machine or by hand. Suitable for canvas and cotton tents, shelters, awnings etc.

For best results, first clean the fabric with Tech Wash. This will ensure a longer lifespan of the waterproofing for your clothing and equipment. You do not need to dry your clothing and equipment before waterproofing. Shake well before use.
Washing machine application:
1. Remove any residual detergent from the dispenser drawer.
2. Place clean garments in the washing machine.
3. Use 50 ml for one garment, 100 ml for two garments, and 150 ml for three garments.
4. Set the washing program to cotton, follow the instructions on the product label.
Hand application (use gloves):
1. Immerse the clean garment in a basin or sink with 6 liters of lukewarm water.
2. Use 50 ml for one garment and 100 ml for two garments.
3. Rinse, let soak for five minutes, then rinse thoroughly again.
4. Rinse in cold water until the water is completely clear.
drying:
let hang dry or tumble dry if permitted by the symbols indicated by the manufacturer.
Recommended quantity for tents and equipment:
1. Tents are best treated when erected, other equipment on a clean protected surface.
2. For 1 part of the agent, use 9 parts of lukewarm water and mix well. Use approximately 50 ml of Cotton Proof before dilution per 3 m2 of fabric.
3. Apply the diluted product evenly to the outer side of the fabric by spraying, brushing or sponging. Treat large areas in sections.
4. Apply the product over the entire surface of the material.
5. Carefully check that you have waterproofed all parts of the material.
6. After a few minutes, check and remove excess product with a clean damp cloth.
Consumption is approximate and depends on the condition of the treated fabric
