The Climbing Technology Obx BGL carabiner is a hot-forged oval carabiner made of lightweight alloy, designed for extra safety thanks to the innovative Brilock screw lock. It is ideal for lifting equipment and rigging in mountaineering or for rope maneuvers in technical climbing. You can also use it for self-belaying at the belay station, for belaying and clipping, or during rescue maneuvers. Thanks to the ACL system, a steel spring that prevents the carabiner from rotating, its position is always fixed, preventing cross-loading.
The revolutionary semi-automatic Brilock lock combines the ease of use of a classic screw lock with the added safety of automatic locks. In neutral mode, the carabiner is locked and the sleeve can rotate without opening the lock, preventing accidental opening due to vibrations, friction, or impacts. In open mode, the sleeve remains open, facilitating maneuvers.
The ergonomic opening of the lock can be done with one hand and while wearing gloves, with the intuitive opening supported by an engraved arrow shape on the sleeve. Three steps are required to open the lock: slide the sleeve downwards, unscrew the sleeve, and open the lock. To close the lock, only one step is needed: screw the sleeve until its automatic locking is activated.
