Climbing Technology BE-UP kit belay device
Multi-purpose belay device with a compact design, suitable for use with half, twin, and single ropes for mountaineering, multi-pitch sport climbing, and traditional routes. BE-UP belay device
The intuitive and easy-to-use BE UP belay device features a modular braking system that optimizes braking with all types of ropes and allows for automatic locking and independent belaying of two seconds.- Effective lead belaying. The specific shape of the BE UP belay device allows for smooth rope feeding and does not jam, even when you need to feed it quickly, e.g., when your partner clips protection.
- When belaying the leader on a multi-pitch route using twin ropes, the BE UP allows you to feed one rope while the other rope is locked.
- Effective modular rope braking: the "V" shaped grooves are specially designed to ensure better control over braking when catching a fall, rappelling, or taking up slack for seconds.
- Allows for taking up slack for one or two seconds independently. In case of a second's fall, the belay device automatically locks. When taking up slack for two, one can be taken up even if the other is sitting on the rope locked in the belay device.
- The BE UP is equipped with a release hole, which serves to release the rope or lower a second sitting on the rope. To release the rope, simply lift the belay device with an HMS carabiner inserted into the release hole.
- Allows for quick switching from taking-up mode to lead belaying mode.
- When rappelling, the ropes remain separate, do not tangle, and the "V" shaped grooves allow you to easily control the rappelling speed.
CONCEPT SGL Carabiner
A lightweight screw-gate HMS carabiner with ACL system (steel pin preventing carabiner rotation) made of lightweight alloy, hot forged. Designed for alpinism, traditional, and sport climbing. It is particularly suitable for use with a belay device. The wider side of the carabiner provides enough space for belaying with a half clove hitch or for rope maneuvers at the belay station.- Emphasized double T profile for excellent weight/strength ratio.
- Lightened and shaped for better grip.
- The carabiner nose is snag-free to prevent the carabiner from catching when clipping and unclipping.
- ACL System - steel pin allowing the carabiner to be attached to the harness belay loop, which fixes its position and prevents cross-loading of the carabiner.

|
For use with a single dynamic rope with a diameter of 8.5 – 10.5 mm
|
|
The belay body is hot forged from light alloy - light and extremely functional for best performance
|
|
The body includes an eye for attachment to the belay station when belaying the second climber in GUIDE mode
|
|
The belay device includes a plastic-coated steel cable that eliminates excessive movement of the belay device during belaying and ensures easier handling, so you don't accidentally drop the belay device.
