Fenix E20 V2.0 LED flashlight
The latest generation of the Fenix E20 V2.0 LED flashlight offers a high luminous flux of up to 350 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 126 meters. This version offers simple operation and four levels of light output with an operating time of up to 200 hours. Operation and switching on/off are handled by the tail switch. It is powered by two commonly available AA batteries, of course, disposable or rechargeable ones can be used. A unique innovation is a special collimator that creates a light cone with a beam distance of 126 meters. The collimator is made using technology used in the automotive industry and its height is only 3 millimeters, which is less than half compared to commonly used optics. Thanks to a length of only 127 millimeters and a weight of 42 grams (without batteries), it can be carried at all times. This flashlight is an ideal lighting tool with an excellent ratio of high performance, quality, and price.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery operating time, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
The Fenix E20 V2.0 flashlight replaces older models Fenix L2T V2.0, Fenix E20, and Fenix E21.
Fenix E20 V2.0 Flashlight Parameters
- It uses a modern Luminus SST-20 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
- Four power modes:
- measured with a rechargeable NiMH battery with a capacity of 1900mAh: 350 lumens: (1.5 hours) -> 150 lumens (5.5 hours) -> 30 lumens (34.5 hours) -> 5 lumens (140 hours)
- measured with included alkaline batteries: 350 lumens (3.75 hours) -> 150 lumens (11.25 hours) -> 30 lumens (93.5 hours) -> 5 lumens (200 hours)
- Uses two AA batteries (alkaline, lithium, or rechargeable NiMH). These batteries are inexpensive and widely available.
- The longest runtime is provided by Energizer L91 Ultimate Lithium AA batteries (especially suitable for extreme conditions and expeditions).
- Protection against accidental battery insertion in reverse (reverse polarity).
- Intelligent overheat protection.
- Electronics with digital constant current regulation and reverse polarity protection.
- Made of T6 aircraft-grade hardened aluminum, the flashlight is impact-resistant from a fall of 1 meter.
- Durable finish - Type III hard anodized.
- Distinctive knurling for better grip.
- Sturdy clip for secure and easy carrying of the flashlight (removable).
- Special super-thin collimator only 3 mm high, made with technology used in the automotive industry.
- Beam distance 126 meters (3950 cd).
- Waterproof and dustproof according to IP68 standard (tested underwater at a depth of 2 meters).
- Dimensions 12.7 cm (length) x 1.68 cm (body diameter) x 2.1 cm (head diameter).
- Weight 42 grams (without batteries).
- The flashlight comes with a wrist lanyard, a spare o-ring, and two alkaline batteries.
- Optional original accessories can be purchased: AOD-S diffuser, AOF-S red filter, AB02 rotating belt holster, Fenix bike mount, head strap for use as a headlamp, or ALP-MT holster.
- The LockBlocks bike mount and BikeBlock bicycle helmet mount are also compatible with the flashlight.
Using the Fenix E20 V2.0 LED Flashlight
To turn it on, press the switch located at the end of the flashlight. The flashlight will always turn on in the lowest mode. With the flashlight on, you can change the power modes at any time by gently pressing the button (they cycle through low - medium - high - turbo).
Intelligent overheat protection - if the flashlight temperature rises above 58°C, it will automatically start reducing the output in gradual steps by 1% every second until the output is reduced to 150 lumens. As soon as the flashlight temperature drops below 58°C, the output will automatically increase back to the original level. Operation in the highest power mode is therefore not limited by time, but only by temperature.
Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the flashlight will automatically reduce the output. When the batteries are low, only the lowest power mode will be available.
Notice
- Do not disassemble the sealed part of the flashlight head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Remove batteries from the flashlight when they are discharged. Especially with disposable batteries, there is a risk of leakage and subsequent damage to the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight blinks, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- Batteries are almost discharged - replace them.
- Contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The rear part of the flashlight is loose - apply lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten.
