Fenix E28R V2.0 rechargeable flashlight

The rechargeable pocket flashlight Fenix E28R V2.0 offers a luminous flux of up to 1700 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 273 meters. It is one of the most powerful Fenix flashlights on a single Li-ion battery type 18650, which is charged via a USB-C port directly on the flashlight body without needing to remove it. However, in an emergency, the flashlight can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries. Compared to the first generation, it also has a practical magnetic tail cap for attachment to any ferrous surface. The E28R V2.0 flashlight features seven different lighting modes, allowing you to choose between high performance and long runtime (almost 11 days of continuous light), including strobe flashes for emergency situations and a breathing light in the switch, which also houses the battery charge level indicator. This flashlight is an ideal lighting tool with an excellent balance of high performance, quality, and price. Usage

From the factory, there may be an insulating cap inside the flashlight on the battery. Remove it from the battery before first use.

To turn on or off, press and hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. The flashlight will always turn on in the last selected mode, except for the highest mode and strobe. You can switch between performance modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. Strobe can be activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds.

The control button can be locked to prevent accidental activation, for example, during transport in luggage - double-press the control button quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, double-press the button quickly again. Accidental activation can also be prevented by loosening the flashlight body.

The warning light of 1 lumen around the switch button can be turned on by triple-pressing the button quickly when the flashlight is off. Subsequent presses of the button cycle through four functions - red light -> green light -> red pulsing -> green pulsing.

Overheat protection: If the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output will automatically decrease. As soon as the temperature drops below 60 °C, the highest output modes can be used again. Charging: Open the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the flashlight's charging port. After charging is complete, close the dust cover again. The normal charging time is 3 hours with a 5 V/2 A USB source for a completely discharged flashlight. The flashlight can be used in 5 and 50 lumen modes during charging. The indicator LED in the switch glows red during charging. After full charge, it turns green.

Battery charge level indication: After turning on, or after a short press of the button when the flashlight is off, the LED indicator in the switch will activate for 3 seconds. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing means less than 25% battery capacity remains. Note: This function is only active when using 18650 type batteries.

Low battery warning: If the voltage drops below the set level, the flashlight will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it reaches 5 lumens. After reaching the lowest output, the LED indicator in the switch will start flashing red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This function is only active when using 18650 type batteries.

Notice

• Do not disassemble sealed parts in the flashlight head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to recharge them in the flashlight.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
• If the flashlight is blinking, not switching to higher modes, or not turning on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  
  • The battery is almost depleted - replace it or recharge the battery.
  • The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The tail cap is loose - apply lubricant to the O-rings and tighten.
