Fenix LD45R rechargeable flashlight, 2800 lm, Black
The zoomable rechargeable flashlight Fenix LD45R offers a luminous flux of up to 2800 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 480 meters. It uses digital focusing technology to diffuse the light beam, which does not use any moving parts but essentially consists of a built-in LCD that electronically changes from clear to diffuse in fine steps. Zoom is easily controlled with one hand via a rotary control around the main switch. The use of digital focusing technology allows for maintaining the highest degree of mechanical resistance, making the flashlight dustproof and waterproof according to the IP68 standard up to a depth of two meters underwater. The light source is a top-tier Luminus SFT70 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours, and it is powered by a 21700 type battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. Information about the selected mode, battery status, and current output is clearly displayed on the status OLED screen. The robust and waterproof design makes this flashlight suitable for universal work, home, and outdoor use.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use of the Fenix LD45R zoom flashlight
Turning on/off and switching power modes - To turn the light on or off, press and hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. Flash modes can be activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds.
OLED display power saving mode - After turning on the light, the OLED display will automatically switch to power saving mode after 10 seconds of inactivity, and its brightness will decrease by 50%. The display brightness will automatically restore after another button press.
Stepless adjustment of spot and floodlight - The rotary switch allows for stepless adjustment between spot and floodlight. The rotary switch can be rotated within a 270-degree range.
Memory for the last set mode - The flashlight will always turn on in the last selected mode, except for the two highest modes and strobe or SOS.
Lock/unlock - To prevent accidental activation of the flashlight, e.g., in a backpack, double-press the button quickly (the flashlight must be off). The flashlight will then blink twice in low mode, and a locked padlock symbol will appear on the OLED display for 1 second. To unlock, double-press the button again quickly. An unlocked padlock symbol will appear on the OLED display for 1 second, and the flashlight will turn on in the lowest mode. Accidental activation can also be prevented by loosening the flashlight's tail cap.
Battery replacement - Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight and insert the battery with the positive pole facing the head. Then, fully tighten the flashlight's tail cap again.
Charging - Open the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the flashlight's charging port. After charging is complete, reseal the dust cover. The typical charging time for the included ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery is 3 hours with a 5V/2.5A USB power source. The flashlight can be used in the lowest mode during charging. The charging icon and battery level indicator are displayed on the OLED display during charging.
Note: A crossed-out battery symbol will appear on the OLED display if the battery is inserted incorrectly or not inserted at all.
Battery charge status indication - During flashlight operation, a four-segment indicator shows the charge level on the OLED display. When the flashlight is off, the indicator appears for 3 seconds after a short press of the button. Four lit segments mean the battery is charged at 100-75%, three lit segments at 75-50%, two lit segments at 50-25%, one lit segment at 25-10%, and no segments at 10-1%.
Intelligent overheat protection - When the flashlight is used for extended periods on high power modes, a significant amount of heat accumulates. When the flashlight reaches a temperature of 60°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60°C, the output will gradually increase again.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below 3.0V, the flashlight will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. Once the lowest output is reached, the battery status icon on the OLED display will start blinking. In this case, recharge the flashlight as soon as possible or replace the battery with a charged one.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the flashlight head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Use only the high-current rechargeable Li-ion 21700 batteries mentioned above.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight does not switch to higher power modes, blinks, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost depleted - recharge it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The rear part of the flashlight is loose - tighten it.
