Fenix CL27R rechargeable lantern, 1600 lm, green

Fenix CL27R is a multifunctional rechargeable lantern and flashlight. It also works great as a rechargeable work light, a light for photographers, or as a light for household use, tents, or cars. A high-brightness COB LED provides a wide beam with an output of up to 1200 lumens (ANSI), whose intensity and hue can be steplessly adjusted with rotary controls. Additionally, there is a spotlight with an output of 800 lumens and a beam distance of 177 meters, and a red light. The spotlight and floodlight can be combined to achieve an output of up to 1600 lumens. The CL27R is powered by a single Li-ion 21700 battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh (included in the package). The battery is charged directly in the lantern via a USB-C connector.

Thanks to its durable and impact-resistant construction with IP66 rating, the light withstands adverse weather conditions and drops from a height of 1.5 meters. Wide mounting options are provided by a 360° rotatable handle, as well as built-in magnets, and it also features a tripod thread.

All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

 Usage of the Fenix CL27R Rechargeable Lantern

Turning on/off and changing white light output - to turn on to white light mode, rotate the left control clockwise. Rotating it then smoothly adjusts the light output from minimum to maximum. To decrease the output, rotate the left control counterclockwise. To turn off, rotate the left control counterclockwise to the end position.

Switching lighting modes - turn on the lantern by rotating the left control clockwise; it will always turn on in floodlight mode. Then, by pressing the top button, you can cyclically switch between lighting modes in the order: floodlight - spotlight - spotlight and floodlight.

Changing the hue of the floodlight - when the lantern is turned on in floodlight or combined beam mode, the hue of the white light of the floodlight can be steplessly changed by rotating the right control in the range of 2700 to 6500 K. The hue of the spotlight is 5700 K and cannot be changed. The lantern remembers the set hue of the floodlight even after being turned off.

Red light - when the lantern is off, the red light is turned on and off by holding the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds. Subsequent presses of the button cyclically switch between red light modes.

Battery replacement - use the included plastic wrench to loosen the battery cap by turning it counterclockwise. Insert the battery with the positive pole facing inwards and then fully tighten the cap again. Warning: screwing the battery cap with a sharp tool may cause scratches.

Battery charge level indication - after a short press of the button or after turning on the lantern, the LED charge level indicator activates for 3 seconds. Four illuminated LEDs mean the battery is charged at 80-100%, three illuminated at 60-80%, two at 40-60%, one at 20-40%, and one flashing indicates the battery is charged at less than 20%.

Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the lantern will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest output. After reaching low output, the battery charge indicator will start flashing to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Charging the Fenix CL27R Lantern

Open the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the lantern's charging port. After charging is complete, replace the dust cover. The typical charging time is 2.5 hours for a completely discharged lantern. During charging, the indicators flash from left to right; after full charging, all four will remain steadily lit. The light can also be used while charging.

Warnings

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Remove the battery from the flashlight if you will not be using it for an extended period, or loosen the battery cap by half a turn.
• Regular cleaning of electrical contacts ensures trouble-free operation of the flashlight, as dirty contacts can cause the flashlight to flicker, light intermittently, or not light up at all for the following reasons:
  
  • The battery is discharged. Charge it or replace it with a charged one.
  • The electrical contacts inside the flashlight are dirty; clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
