Outer Material - DRILITE ^® LOFT 30 D

The DRILITE ^® LOFT 30 D outer material is durable, lightweight, and water-resistant. It has a PU coating and a DWR water-repellent finish on the surface, which further helps to keep the down dry even in damp conditions. The down is thus protected from moisture and therefore from losing its thermal insulation properties. Thanks to its water resistance and low weight, the down maintains its high loft for maximum thermal insulation in any conditions.

Quality Goose Down with 700+ Fill Power

Very high-quality goose down from China contains at least 90% down, has a minimum fill power of 700 cuin, and meets the ethical DOWN CODEX®. The down is gently cleaned with water without chemical treatment. This reduces mites and their living environment, which is appreciated by allergy sufferers. The down retains its important natural oils and loft, is highly compressible, provides excellent insulation, and is lightweight.

"Baffle-by-Baffle" Access

Each baffle is precisely calculated for the amount of down to minimize weight and maximize warmth. This innovative "baffle-by-baffle" approach was developed by Matt Fuller, who is the only person in the outdoor industry with a PhD in down research. This approach considers the needs of each part of the body separately. Therefore, Matt Fuller also calculated the precise down density in each baffle individually.

Combination of Trapezoidal and Angled Baffles

Thanks to the combination of trapezoidal and angled baffles, the sleeping bag offers excellent thermal insulation. Trapezoidal and angled baffles minimize heat loss through seams and keep the down in place, preventing migration within the baffles. Heat remains in the sleeping bag by eliminating thermal bridges in the seams through which heat escapes.

Anatomically Shaped 5-Baffle Hood

The hood is shaped to protect the head even without tightening. 5 baffles with a higher down density protect the head from heat loss, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The higher down density prevents down migration and moisture penetration deeper into the baffle. If you need to tighten the hood, it's not a problem. Based on the shape of the drawstring, you know exactly whether you are tightening the upper part of the hood (flat drawstring) or the lower part of the hood (round drawstring).



Anatomically shaped and angled 6-baffle footbox

Feet need to be insulated as well as possible because they have poor circulation.

The Sleeping Bag Footbox is Angled Trapezoidal

The toe area is raised and extends forward like a shark fin.

Thanks to this ergonomic shape, you do not press the baffles in the foot area with your feet, thus avoiding loss of insulation properties that keep your feet warm. The footbox is made of the warmest V-baffles with high down density and is so complex that it is manufactured separately and then sewn onto the sleeping bag. The higher down density prevents down migration and moisture penetration deeper into the baffle.

Protective Collar

To prevent heat from escaping the sleeping bag, there is an internal 3D down collar that fills the space around the shoulders and neck. This effectively seals the sleeping bag. The collar has a lower down density to conform precisely to the shape of your shoulders and neck. Everything is secured by a magnetic Lode Lock™ snap, which you can intuitively fasten and unfasten with one hand.

Insulated Draft Tube Along the Zipper

The weakest point of sleeping bags is usually the zipper. The triangular draft tube is filled with down and synthetic insulation that fits snugly against the sleeping bag. The synthetic insulation prevents the down from shifting along the draft tube and also insulates when wet. The zipper is located in the lower half of the sleeping bag so that rising heat does not escape through the zipper.

You won't experience the unpleasant feeling of waking up in the middle of the night with an undone zipper in a Mountain Equipment sleeping bag, because the zipper has a lock and won't open on its own. Simply pull to release the lock and unzip the sleeping bag when you want to.
