Wolf Tooth T47 External bottom brackets are designed for smooth operation, maximum durability, and easy serviceability. The unique design utilizes custom bearings, seals, and polymer sleeves that effectively eliminate creaking. The system combines best-in-class weather sealing with optimized bearing preload for minimal rolling resistance. This variant is designed for T47 frames where the bearings are housed externally in cups.
The premium ACOSUR ZNA treated bearings feature both balls and races made from hardened chrome steel, which is harder than stainless steel, ensuring longer life and quieter operation. Thanks to the special ACOSUR ZNA coating, the bearings resist corrosion better than stainless steel. Combined with sophisticated sealing and elimination of metal-on-metal contact, these bottom brackets deliver top performance in any conditions. They are made from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum and hardened bearing steel, and designed, machined, and assembled in the USA.
