Rex Black Magik Drip Wax chain wax, 180 ml

I didn't want to do hot waxing, so I tried this alternative. The chain and the entire drivetrain are pretty clean and relatively not very noisy. So far, I've only managed to lubricate it once on the MTB for about 100km, and the trip is around 300-400km.

IMPORTANT INFO:
Even though the instructions on the packaging say so, do not shake the bottle before opening!! The liquid foams and then it is very difficult for it to flow into the links (meaning the lubrication effect is minimal and the chain will quickly become noisy). The manufacturer himself confirmed this to me and the new batch of packages should have the instructions on the packaging adjusted and the iron ball will no longer be put in the bottle.

do horúceho voskovania sa mi nechcelo, tak som skúsil túto alternatívu. Reťaz a celý pohon je pekne čistý a relatívne nieje ani nejak veľmi hlučný. Na MTB zatiaľ len tak do 100km najviac sa mi podarilo dať na 1 namazanie, Cesta okolo 300-400km.

DÔLEŽITÉ INFO:
Aj keď to inštrukcie na obale píšu, netrepať s fľaškou pred otváranim!! Tekutina sa spení a potom to veľmi ťažko zateká do vnútra článkov (čiže účinok mazania minimálny a reťaz bude rýchlo hlučná). Potvrdil mi to aj samotný výrobca a nová várka balení by uz mala mat inštrukcie na obale upravené a aj železná gulicka sa uz do fľaštičky nebude dávať.

Za mňa zatiaľ top. Prechod z tekuteho REX vosku. MTB. Nepačilo sa mi že extra nezateká, tak to ráno ešte zohrejem kuchynskou flambovačkou - len trochu aby sa vosk roztopil. Necham to potom ešte 5 minut a idem. 600km, mazal som zatiaľ 3x. Reťaz čistá, pri tomto asi ostanem.

It's really quiet and reliable. I don't wipe it with a cloth, I just let it dry. But you have to be careful at home that the chain doesn't spin, otherwise the paraffin will remain on the floor at home.

Je to ozaj tiche a spolahlive. Neutieram handrickou, len necham zaschnut. Treba si dat doma ale pozor, aby sa netocilo retazou, inak ostane parafin aj doma na zemi.

So far I'm satisfied, as I don't have the nerves or time for classic waxing, but on the other hand I want something more, so this is the ideal compromise.

Zatiaľ spokojnosť, keďže na klasické voskovanie nemám nervy ani čas, ale na druhú stranu chcem niečo viac, tak toto je ideálny kompromis.

I waited a while with the rating, I rode about 1000km in all conditions except snow. I waxed about every 200-250km. I took one star off because the chain is noisier and very quickly (after a few km). It bothers me but it certainly doesn't have to be for everyone. For me, a huge advantage over the other 4 stars = no dirt. Even mud doesn't stick. It needs a little "grip" when applying so that the wax doesn't drip.

Chvíľu som čakal s hodnotením najazdil som cca 1000km vo všetkých podmienkach okrem snehu. Voskoval som cca každých 200-250km. Jednu hviezdu som ubral lebo reťaz je hlučnejšia a to veľmi rýchlo (po pár km). Mne to vadí ale určite nemusí každému. Pre mňa obrovská výhoda za ostatné 4 hviezdy = žiadna špina. Ani blato sa nenalepí. Pri aplikácii to chce trochu “grif” nech vosk nekvapká.

After the initial enthusiasm, I solve the problem of the bottle contents solidifying, the solid emulsion cannot be applied, it does not reach the chain pin. I solve it by melting the wax after applying it to the chain using a heat gun, which then flows to the pin. Basically, it is no different from applying hot wax, except for the need to disconnect the chains. When I manage to apply it, I am satisfied with the properties of the wax.

Po prvotním nadšení řeším problém se ztuhnutím obsahu lahve , tuhou emulzi pak nelze aplikovať , nedostane se k čepu řetězu . Řeším to tak že po naneseni na řetěz vosk roztopím pomocí horkovzdušné pistole , který pak zateče k čepu . V podstatě se to pak neliší od aplikace horkého vosku, kromě nutnosti rozpojení řetězů . Když se mi ho podaří nanést , pak jsem s vlastnostmi vosku spokojen .

In my opinion, this is not a chain lubricant. Maybe for adding a drop after hot wax, but not for separate lubrication. I tried everything possible, I degreased the chain and let it dry. I applied it separately to the links and tried to massage it in with my fingers. But as soon as I touch it, it's dry immediately. So I tried just dropping it and letting it absorb. In my opinion, it doesn't stick to the links at all, the chain is dry and squeaks after a few km, as soon as the powder falls off the surface. It doesn't protect the chain because after a few days it even rusted. As for chain lubrication and wax, I'm no novice, I've used the original Rex and Squirt. The complaint was rejected, they said I was applying it incorrectly. I'll try the trick with the heat gun again, which someone added. For me, this is a big disappointment and 0 stars, I didn't find any positives.

Dalsia reklamacia zamietnuta, vraj to zle pouzivam...toto je velmi specificky produkt ktory si vyzaduje specialny pristup, skladovanie aj aplikaciu! Akurat ze nic take sa v popise neuvadza. Dostal som naspat v ramci obchodnych vztahov jednu mensiu flasticku a cuduj sa svete, vosk uz prisiel na komplet stuhnuty. Ako si predstavujete ze mam toto aplikovat na retaz? Špachtlou? Nebolo by na case priznat, ze sa jedna o NEPODAROK z ktoreho postupne unika vlhkost a tekuta zlozka a zostava iba tuhy vosk? K tomu vyhovorky ze to posudzuje distributor Davorin.... Nakupujem z Davorinu alebo Mtbikeru?

Since I had a lubricant that was quiet but quite dirty the chain (Rex diamond), I decided to try this wax, which I have to rate very poorly:
Application - without shaking the bottle, the chain looked like I had smeared it with Nivea cream.
after drying, wipe everything with a rag but the mess is gone... the whole derailleur is covered in dried wax, the black chainring is two-tone - the teeth are white from the wax...
But what disappointed me the most was the noise, after about 10km the chain was already noisy as if it was dry.. and I had already applied it 3-4 times.. so it must have been everywhere, but the result

Kedze som mal doteraz mazivo ktore bolo tiche ale dost spinilo retaz (Rex diamond), rozhodol som sa vyskusat tento vosk ktory musim zhodnotit za mna velmi zle:
Aplikacia - bez trepania flasou, retaz vyzerala akoby som ju namazal Nivea kremom..
po zaschnuti, vsetko handrou utrete no bordelu az az..-cela prehadzovacka od zaschnuteho vosku, cierny prevodnik je dvojfarebny-zubky biele od vosku..
No co ma najviac sklamalo je hlucnost, uz asi po 10km rataz hlucna akoby bola sucha.. a to som uz aplikoval 3-4x.. cize zatiect uz muselo vsade, no vysledok

Used for a new chain, cleaned.
But after a few km it's noisy, as if the chain is dry. I always applied it as recommended by the manufacturer, and let it dry for at least 12 hours - I dripped it onto each link and tried to rub it in with my fingers.
If it is necessary to heat it up with a heat gun, then this product is quite impractical.
The only advantage is that it is easy to clean and dirt does not stick to the chain.

Pouzite na novu retaz, ocistenu.
Ale uz po par km je to hlucne, ako keby bola retaz sucha.. Naniesol som vzdy ako odporuca vyrobca, a nechal aspon 12 hodin zaschnut - kvapkal som na kazdy clanok aj prstami sa snazil votriet.
Ak je potrebne to nahriat este teplovzdusnou pistolou potom je tento produkt dost neprakticky.
Jedina vyhoda je len za lahko cisti a na retaz sa nelepia necistoty.

minulý rok kúpené 2x spokojnosť, tento rok taktiež 2x a.... totálne sklamanie...zatuhnuté to je už pri otvorení a nemá šancu to zatiecť kde má...neviem, čo vo Fínsku urobili a zmenili, ale doporučujem MTBikeru takýto produkt ihneď stiahnuť z ponuky ...nestojí to ani za 1 hviezdu ...

! after 7 months and 8th waxing, disappointment , the wax has solidified into a mush, so that it cannot be squeezed out with both hands. It has been stored indoors at room temperature since November. It is no longer usable.

! po 7 mesiacoch a 8-mom navoskovaní sklamanie , vosk stuhol na kašu, tak že sa nedá ani obidvoma rukami vytlačiť. Umiestny bol od novembra vo vnútri pri izbovej teplote. Je už nepoužiteľný.
