The Restrap Aero Race Top Tube Bag is a classic example of how less is sometimes more. We originally designed our top tube bags for bikepacking and adapted their size accordingly. However, there are times – especially with the growing popularity of single-day gravel races – when riders require the easy accessibility and convenience of a top tube bag, but without the unnecessary bulk or aerodynamic disadvantage of larger bags.
This is where the Aero Race Top Tube Bag comes in. It is designed to offer sufficient volume for nutrition and gels between feed zones, while elegantly tucking behind the stem and shielding from the wind. Although compact, this does not mean it lacks functional features.
A completely redesigned reinforcement eliminates the need for head tube mounting. The internal foam padding dampens shocks and prevents rattling for a quieter ride, while the elasticated mesh pocket is designed to hold a tubeless repair tool – so you have it immediately at hand should the dreaded sound of escaping air be heard during a group ride.
Use the supplied fast straps for mounting if your frame does not have top tube bolts, or remove the straps and attach the bag directly to the bike. In either case, the Aero Race Top Tube Bag will remain stable, securely fastened, out of the way, and always immediately accessible.
