Rab Filament Neck Tube, tempest blue
The Rab Filament Neck Tube is a bit different from what we are usually used to. It is made of structured fleece, which perfectly takes care of warmth, but at the same time excellently wicks away sweat from the skin. The year 2020 saw Rab launch in great style with the goal of gradually developing sustainability and minimizing our footprint as much as possible. However, this is not some superficial "marketing" plan, but Rab is very carefully evaluating recycling methods to make it clear whether it all makes sense.
The base of the neck tube is made of recycled Thermic™ fleece material, which ensures proper insulation. Rab solved the breathability and sweat wicking from the skin with a structure with horizontal stripes on the inside, alternating between a larger and smaller amount of insulation. The material thus insulates through stripes with more fleece and wicks sweat through stripes with less. After a few initial uses, it seems to us that this system wicks sweat better than previous grid structures in the Power Grid hoodie and at the same time dries faster.
This neck tube will certainly find use for all outdoor activities in colder conditions. Like almost all neck tubes, this one is also sufficiently high and can be instantly turned into a hat or headband, for example.
