The Nova Ride EVO derailleur hanger takes everything that made the original great and elevates it to the next level.The new construction, which retains Nova Ride's DNA, has been optimized for excellent stiffness and durability. Its unique and recognizable look is the result of careful attention to a multitude of thoughtful design details. The design of the carbon cage and pulleys has been completely redesigned, both in terms of their geometry and material thickness, to offer a product with a more modern visual harmony while maximizing its lightness and performance.Following the success of the CCD AERO model, the CCD EVO features a redesigned, wind-tunnel-tested front surface and screws that optimize air penetration and improve aerodynamics by 66% compared to the CCD model.The surface finish improvement includes a new overall design approach, where the geometry and thicknesses are subtly reworked, inevitably leading to a 200% increase in machining time.
The rear of the cage is equipped with new black titanium screws, contributing to weight savings and a premium aesthetic. The black finish of the construction improves visual integration with your bike, while titanium ensures an optimal strength-to-weight ratio.
Thanks to the upper 14-tooth and lower 17-tooth pulleys, the chain's movement is optimized as it passes through the pulleys, minimizing bending and friction, thus saving 4-6 watts compared to a standard derailleur hanger.Both color-anodized pulleys are made of solid AL7075 duralumin alloy and fitted with full ceramic bearings with minimal rolling resistance, requiring no special maintenance or lubrication! The full ceramic bearings feature high-precision ceramic balls and ceramic races made of silicon nitride. The main advantages of full ceramic bearings compared to standard bearings are their longer lifespan, lower weight, greater strength, lower rolling resistance, and excellent anti-corrosion properties. Their weight is about 60% lower, while they are 7 times stronger than steel balls.
