Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000 rear derailleur, 11-speed, medium cage (GS), Shadow RD

"Fun" for 12 hours of pure time. If anyone would try to set this up and you're a total amateur like me, here are some tips to shorten the setting time I adjusted my old derailleur (105) for about 5 hours, until I began to suspect that it probably has the best times for with itself (in my case, it didn't want to downshift properly), a new foot didn't help either (the old one was bent in the service, supposedly it was "needed"). A person thinks that he is doing something wrong (that's why he spends so much time trying and pretending), but in the end, the opposite turned out to be the case...
So I decided to go for a new one and upgrade it to Ultegra, because the price difference compared to 105 is not that big. So I "installed" the derailleur on the new foot, but the desired result compared to the old one was not very good. After 5 hours of waiting (and nerves), I decided that something was going to be wrong. The first thing that turned out to be bad was the cable, the inside of the clutch started to wire, so it was replaced. It started to get better right away, but still not the same. After 2 hours, it was time to change the bowden, it was together with the derailleur, but I left the flood one from the 105, you know what can "go wrong" in such a pipe. Well, this exchange turned out to be a game changer. After 50 times, I go to adjust the derailleur, and immediately after replacing the bowden, I adjusted it to complete satisfaction in 10 minutes. Beautiful shifting up and down, without skipping or jerking. I did everything right the whole time, but I underestimated the details, that's why the exchange cost me so much time (at least I'm a bit wiser now )

Ak by ste sa niekto pokusal toto nastavit a ste totalny amater ako ja, tak tu je niekolko tipov na skratenie casu nastavovania Svoju staru prehadzovacku (105) som steloval asi 5h, az pokial som nezacal mat podozrenie, ze ma asi najlepsie casy za sebou (v mojom pripade nechcela spravne radit dolu), nepomohla ani nova patka (staru mi ohli v servise, vraj "trebalo") . Clovek si mysli, ze len nieco zle robi (preto tolko casu skusania a stelovania), ale nakoniec sa ukazal pravy opak ...
Rozhodol som sa teda, ze idem do novej, a rovno to upgradnem na Ultegru , ved cenovy rozdiel oproti 105 nie je az tak velky. Prehadzovacku som teda "nainstaloval" na novu patku,ale zelany vysledok oproti starej sa velmi nedostavil. Po 5h stelovania (a nervov) som teda usudil, ze nieco bude zle. Prve zle sa ukazalo byt lanko, vo vnutri packy sa zacalo drat, takze vymena. Hned to zacalo byt lepsie, ale stale nie ono. Po 2h prisila na rad vymena bowdenu, ten bol spolu s prehadzovackou, ale nechal som ten povodny zo 105ky, ved co sa tam uz v takej rurke moze "pokazit". No, ale tato vymena sa ukazal byt ako game changer. Po 50x idem stelovat prehadzovacku, a hned po vymene bowdenu som to za 10 minut nastavil k uplnej spokojnosti. Krasne radenie hore aj dole, bez preskakovania, ci lupkania. Cely cas som robil vsetko spravne, ale podcenil som detaily, preto ma ta vymena stala tolko casu (aspon som teraz o nieco viac mudrejsi )

It works perfectly. For the 25 euros or so that is the difference between 105 and ultegra, it is definitely worth it. Using the included cable is essential for proper functioning.

Funguje perfektne. Za tych cca 25 Euro, co je rozdiel medzi 105 a ultegra to urcite stoji. Pouzitie pribaleneho bowdenu je nutne pre spravne fungovanie.

I installed a larger cartridge and therefore had to install a GS-shifter as well, it is quick to change and after setting the position it also works on the 11-42z. (...)

Nahodil som väčšiu kazetu a preto som musel namontovat aj GS-prehadzovacku, rychla vymena a po nastaveni polohy funguje aj na 11-42z. (...)

S touto prehadzovačkov som si zväčšil rozsah ľahkých prevodov. Kopce sa idú ľahšie. Funguje tak ako má.

Asi nie je čo viac k tomuto strojčeku napísať. Presný, ľahký....

The derailleur worked reliably for 1300km, then broke while going over a bump in the road
The complaint was accepted, so a new piece was put in, I believe it will last longer.
