Prologo SCRATCH NDR TIRO saddle, 140 mm
Ergonomic Prologo Scratch NDR saddle specifically for Cross Country and Marathon
Scratch NDR, born from the close collaboration with the professionals of 8 MTB teams technically supported by Prologo, is the off-road evolution of the already established Scratch M5.
A new saddle with a racing DNA, designed specifically for competing and winning in cross country and marathon races at the highest level.
Designed to face all types of climbs
Scratch NDR inherits the compact dimensions (250 mm x 140 mm) and the Multi Sector System technology from the Scratch family: different mapped and separated zones with specific properties and functions for XC and Marathon disciplines.
The two side and rear sections are designed to provide greater stability and comfort when pedaling in a rearward position during long climbs.
The EVA foam padding is 3 mm thicker in the rear section to provide maximum support.
The cover of these sections is completely smooth, making it easier to slide off the saddle.
The innovative central front section, on the other hand, is specifically designed to tackle the steepest and most technical uphill sections, thanks to a large flat surface that provides a comfortable base of support even when it is necessary to pedal on the tip of the saddle.
The cover in this section includes a horizontally structured grip cover that maximizes grip and helps maintain the forward saddle position.
Anatomical shape for off-road disciplines
The anatomical shape of the new Scratch NDR has been redesigned to suit off-road disciplines, by shifting the "anatomical center" 5 mm backwards to increase the rider's freedom of movement, allowing them to easily change saddle position as needed depending on the type of track to be tackled.
Closed saddle with Active Base SystemTo provide a more desired, flatter support surface in the central front area, the Scratch NDR does not have a central drainage channel.
A solution that makes the saddle more comfortable when pedaling on the tip and offers greater protection from any uncertainty and mud from the rear wheel.
The base of the new saddle is made of long fiber carbon with the characteristic Active Base System: a hole under the padding that allows for additional pressure relief, thus increasing pedaling comfort.
Different rails for different needs
For performance-oriented cyclists looking for a stiff saddle and maximum lightness, the Scratch NDR is available in a version with Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) rails made of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum fibers.
Rails already widely used by Prologo for all its top-of-the-range models, reducing the overall weight of the saddle to 166 g.
However, for those seeking more comfort, a second version is available weighing 217 g with TiroX rails made of light alloy steel, a material with an excellent balance between weight and strength, thanks to which the saddle has less stiffness and excellent vibration absorption.
