The ADVANCED XC 70 stem is designed for advanced MTB/XC style riders. Forged and hardened, made from a material that will satisfy even the most demanding riders.
• Aluminum 6061 is commonly used in the structural parts of yachts, automotive chassis, or even scuba diving pressure tanks. This aluminum alloy is designed to withstand high pressures.
• 3D forging – a block of heated aluminum is forged and pressed into the desired shape. The advantage of this technology is that nothing needs to be welded - everything is made from a single block of aluminum. This makes the component lighter and even stronger.
• T6 – material processing through a aging process under specific conditions, to achieve significantly higher hardness. Also known as "Tempering".
