FOX 38 Performance Grip 29" Fork 170 mm
Enduro specialist with big travel. The biggest novelty in FOX 2021 models is definitely the all-new Float 38 enduro fork, designed for modern and uncompromising super enduro riding. Can a 2 mm larger diameter of the inner legs really make such a big difference? FOX says yes. But it's, of course, more than just those 2 millimeters.
The new FOX high-travel enduro fork offers travel between 160 – 180 mm and has one hidden novelty that other forks don't have. The inner shape of the fork steerer is oval, which increases stiffness without a significant increase in weight. So far, only FOX Float 38 forks have this technology.

TECHNOLOGIES
Float: The lightweight FLOAT air spring system automatically equalizes the positive and negative air chambers to increase sensitivity and traction regardless of air pressure setting. Riders can fine-tune the characteristics of the positive air spring using Volume Air inserts.
Bleeders: The forks have bleed valves on the back of the lower legs, which allow you to equalize the pressure in the fork legs with atmospheric pressure. Different pressure in the fork reduces suspension sensitivity, so you can equalize it by simply pressing the valve with your finger. Pressure in the legs changes mainly at higher temperatures, e.g. during intensive use on long descents or at high altitudes. For the Performance version, bleed valves must be purchased separately.
Lower Leg Channels: New air-oil channels allow accumulated air in the lower legs to pass through the bushings. The second function of the channels is to allow oil from the lower legs to reach the upper seals and keep them freshly lubricated.
Floating Axle: The new axle system prevents the fork legs' parallelism from being affected by the different width of the front hub. Perfect concentricity reduces friction during suspension, making it more effective and smoother. You adjust the mechanism on the right fork leg precisely for your hub width, and when tightening the axle, the compression of the legs is eliminated.
Lower Leg Arch: The arch between the lower legs has a new rounded shape, which increases the stiffness of the fork and at the same time creates more space between the arch and the bike frame when the fork is fully compressed.
Oval steerer: The inner shape of the fork steerer is oval, which increases stiffness with only a minimal increase in overall weight.

Hello, I have a question: what diameter of brake disc are the weldments on the fork leg prepared for?
Thank you J.Fišer
Dobrý deň,
bez adaptéru je možné dať 180mm kotúč, najväčší možný kotúč je 230mm.
