FOX 36 Factory Grip X 29" Suspension Fork
Since its 2005 debut, the FOX 36 fork has set the standard for single-crown forks, delivering best-in-class performance with an unmatched stiffness-to-weight ratio. In its latest evolution, the 36 further raises the bar for All-Mountain dominance, while the all-new 36 SL brings lightweight performance to aggressive Trail riders. Featuring a refined chassis, increased bushing overlap, and innovative new FLOAT Glidecore air springs, both forks push the boundaries of stiffness, suppleness, and responsiveness in their respective categories. All-mountain riders are pushing their bikes harder than ever before, driven by advancements in frame, component, and tire technology. With the new 36, we set out to enhance the performance of these boundary-pushing bikes, delivering a fork that not only meets but exceeds the demands of modern riders. The new 36 combines the confidence-inspiring feel of the 38 Enduro with a category-optimized chassis that is lightweight, responsive, and playful. Riders seeking uncompromising stiffness, precise control, and a remarkably smooth ride need look no further. The FOX 36 fork continues its reign as the pinnacle of All-Mountain riding – stiffer, smoother, and better than ever before.
Key Innovations:
• New Chassis - 20% higher torsional stiffness than the previous model, approaching the steering precision of the FOX 38.
• Arch Optimization - The new, generatively designed 36 arch increases torsional stiffness, while strategic cut-outs minimize weight and enhance aesthetics.
• Ultra-low friction FLOAT Glidecore air spring - An all-new air spring design featuring a floating core that isolates the strut from the air shaft to maintain smooth travel even under the flex loads imposed by speed or rider weight.
• Increased Bushing Overlap - 30mm of additional bushing overlap significantly reduces friction, providing a smoother feel, especially on rough terrain.
• GRIP X Damper - A lightweight, easily adjustable alternative to the GRIP X2 damper, offering a balance between descending capability and efficient pedaling performance.
• Internal Bypass Channels - Relocated from the rear to the inside, these channels increase small bump sensitivity, reduce pressure build-up, and improve overall suspension response.
• Low-profile bleeders - Redesigned with a knurled texture for easier pressure equalization.
• Top-cap air spring - Now compatible with standard Shimano cartridge tools for easy volume spacer adjustment.
• Refined Fender Mount - Mounted to the arch and seal glands instead of bleeders for improved durability and aesthetics.
