The Nova Ride Road Ceramic bottom bracket provides lower rolling resistance and increases the smoothness of the bike's drivetrain, allowing for increased performance to satisfy even the most demanding cyclists. Both duralumin cups are made from AL7075 duralumin alloy, subsequently CNC machined and anodized. The bearings feature high-precision ceramic balls made from silicon nitride. The main advantages of ceramic bearings compared to standard bearings are their longer lifespan, greater strength, lower rolling resistance, and excellent anti-corrosion properties. Their weight is about 60% lower, while being 7x stronger compared to steel balls. The applied seal minimizes friction and protects the bearing against the ingress of dirt.
The package also includes a wrench for mounting the cups.
