- Standard D-shaped carabiner: It is a versatile choice suitable for a wide range of activities.
- Asymmetrical D-shaped carabiner: This carabiner provides a larger opening, making it easier to attach and detach.
Material:
- Aluminium: Lightweight, but may have lower breaking strength compared to steel. Ideal for activities where weight is crucial.
- Steel: Heavier, but more durable and has higher strength. Suitable for demanding activities.
Type of closure:
- Screw closure: Safe and reliable, manual screwing is required to open and close.
- Twistlock: Spring-loaded mechanism for quick and easy one-handed operation, automatically locks when released.
